The Tasting Experience
We actually showed up unannounced, but the manager, Rolando, recognised us right away and called Chef Pedro over. That turned into something special, we had the opportunity to watch him cooking the tortilla de patatas right in front of us, with the kind of care and passion that you can’t fake.
At Málaga Tapas, they cook their tortilla fresh every day, and only when it’s ordered. That means what you get is always homemade, freshly made, and full of flavour, no shortcuts!!!

Personal Review
What I loved most about this tortilla is that it doesn’t try to be fancy, it simply respects the tradition, exactly like my grandmother did it. Chef Pedro cooks like someone who’s been doing it for years, no rush, no tricks, just confidence and heart.
The texture is creamy but not runny, the potato tastes sweet and real, and the balance with the egg is just perfect, the smell reminded me of my childhood... to the things made properly at home, it brought life to the tortilla.
Watching him make it felt almost hypnotic, a reminder of how beautiful simple food can be when it’s done with love.
This tortilla is a must-try.It fully deserves a spot on our WikiTortilla UK map, and honestly, Málaga Tapas West End is worth a visit even beyond the tortilla.
